Shawn Sigler

Shawn Sigler, MSM, CLTC earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Grinnell College while playing three varsity sports—serving as captain four separate times. He later earned his Master of Science in Management (MSM) from The American College of Financial Services, as well as his CLTC designation.

Shawn spent two years as the Director of LTC & Annuities at one of the top life insurance BGAs in the country where he made significant impacts on the growth of those divisions. He then took an opportunity in his hometown of Davenport, Iowa as a life and LTC producer alongside one of the top life producers in the country; gaining valuable experience with clients in life & long-term care planning.

In 2008, Shawn moved to North Carolina and accepted a position on FIG's management team as the Director of Marketing for Life, LTC & Disability. Shawn managed the overall marketing efforts of these divisions; increasing productivity across the board. In 2013, Shawn was promoted to the Director of Sales & Distribution, continuing to manage Life, LTC & Disability while also working with the annuity division to increase overall production. He also worked with FIG's top producers to ensure practice-growing resources were available to them.

In August 2017, Shawn began leading one of FIG’s private client groups as a Senior Vice President (SVP). As an SVP, he’s responsible for the growth and development of his team and their advisors. His leadership skills in the IMO/BGA industry give him a unique perspective on how he can assist business development, marketing, and sales verticals inside an advisor’s practice.

Shawn is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), and served as a board member on the Charlotte chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals (SFSP).

He has a passion for youth sports, coaching his sons Cal & Ty, and serves as a leader in the community by volunteering his time to develop young athletes into tomorrow’s leaders. Shawn lives in Huntersville, NC with his wife and two boys.
